Dear Sir,
Thank you for encouraging people to be honest with one self and then we can be honest with others as well. Honesty has at times created the scar tissue you spoke about .And you are right the scar tissue is tougher than the skin itself.
in other word what don't kill us will makes us stronger. Even though being honest can inflict discomfort , just bring it on out let it flow from the heart to the mouth ..
Again Thank You

Ironic, isn't it? I had a doctor last year tell me that if I didn't smoke or drink coffee all day long, that my LOW blood pressure probably would have killed me by now. Then, she told me she'd write me a prescription to quit smoking. Err...

At least she didn't tell me to exercise. ;-)

I like this poem. It reminds me of the way I feel about the kids who picked on me in elementary school; they no longer matter, because they're no longer there.

Yeah, lots of echos of my own life here and others I know. "I am the kid at the back of the line
Happy that no one can push ahead of me now
Happy to look at their backs and be alone...."

BTW, found this on your Poetry vine in which you included a link to my "The Stone Gatherer" poem. Thanks, it was a pleasant surprise.
